Keel Line

The Azul had some hard use in the surf, and took quite a bit of wear as well as a nasty crack. Luckily, it was just the gelcoat, but the whole host of sins were taken care of with a stern keel line.

Repairs

September 2004

Azul Sultan has some cracked gelcoat from poor packing when shipping. The hull glass is intact, but the gelcoat has cracked significantly. Duct tape worked but it really needed repairing. This shows some repairs to one side; there was similar damage on the other side.

Miscellaneous

Since the wooden boat kit needs some space in the garage, the kayaks need moving out of the way. Or, perhaps you need to actually put a car in your garage (huh?). This was a simple pulley setup using 6 pulleys, 6 hooks, two clips and about 70' of rope. It uses more rope than you think - luckily I had 100' foot (per boat, this is!).
